Summer is here! We have been gone for 2 months, and Ars Terra has been under the care of Korina, our wonderful housesitter. Now that we're back, we've ben able to see that the systems we've put in place have done well. Rains came often throughout the Spring, and temperatures had been on the lower side.... The garden is full of perennials that have taken off, herbs and winter grasses are tall, providing shade throughout and keepign the soil moist as the heat sets in. The ducks, now with us for over 2 years, are very happy and healthy.

Julia, our wonderful friend, taiko player in Faith and the Muse and pond aficionado, helps with the overabundance of algae we found upon our return. The fish and frogs are in fine form, and new hyacinths and water lettices are coming! Baby tadpoles, still just barely in egg form, are beginning to squiggle!

The front yard has fully exploded. Not only are most of the trees from the tree basins bearing fruit, but clovers, vetch, herbs and other perennials as well as winter grasses are all tall and healthy.

Details of the front gardens. The barrel pond is somewhere in the left photo amidst the growth explosion! Strawberries are coming in, and the front trellis fencing has really helped to allow for growth!
